One of the items that I was most excited about picking up during the most recent Sephora VIB Sale (click here to see that haul) was the new Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette. Swatches for this palette are starting to pop up online, but I haven’t seen many on my skin tone yet, so I wanted to share those with you. I can’t give a review on these yet since I haven’t used them, but the swatches seem pretty promising. By the way, if you’re wondering why I haven’t used this palette yet it is because I recently gave birth to my first child! Since then, I haven’t really worn any makeup, but I swatched this prior to giving birth so I didn’t want the swatches to be in vain.
If you regularly keep up with the beauty blogs, you may have heard about the new Modernist Eyeshadow Palettes that Hourglass released. These beautiful palettes are now available in 7 varieties and I decided to try out the Obscura version. I haven’t had a chance to play around with this palette yet, but I know this will be a hot item, so I wanted to get out some swatches for you in case you’re interested in ordering.
Stila isn’t a brand that gets a whole lot of attention in the blogosphere, but it looks like they are trying to change that with their brand new palettes! They recently released 4 new eyeshadow palettes in celebration of their 20th anniversary, the Eyes Are The Window Palettes. All four palettes come in beautiful jewelry inspired compacts in rose, yellow and white gold toned metals. I decided to pick up two of the palettes, Mind & Spirit. What is your favorite YSL product?
Nars recently came out with 3 contouring blush palettes that includes a large contour powder and a smaller highlighting powder. I picked up the darkest of the 3 shades available, Gienah. Keep reading for my thoughts.
Inglot currently is discontinuing their round eyeshadow pans so for a limited time they have quite a few palettes on clearance. I picked up the 20 pan palette for a little over $30 about a month ago, but according to the website now it is $61.50. That’s actually the price I thought I would be paying, but when it went into my cart it took almost 50%! I have no idea why, but it did! Check out this post for swatches and my thoughts on it!
I’ve really enjoyed playing around with my Mac Eyeshadow X15 Warm Neutral Palette (swatched HERE) over the last few weeks. Today I wanted to share one of my favorite looks to do with this palette. This look is perfect for Valentine’s or any date night. Keep reading for more pictures and a full list of products used!
So MAC has finally jumped on the neutral eyeshadow palette train with the newly released 15 pan palettes. This palette is available in 2 varieties; Cool and Warm. I decided to try the Warm palette. Scroll Down for swatches!
Urban Decay has done it again! If you are at all interested in makeup, I’m sure you have heard of the Naked series from Urban Decay. It started with the original Naked palette and now includes a cheek palette, highlighter, etc. The latest addition is the Naked 3 and of course I had to scoop it up! I wanted to do this post so you could see how these colors look on a darker complexion. Almost everything I have seen thus far was on skin much lighter than mine. There will also be a video initial review coming up within the next couple of days!
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders have gotten a lot of hype in the YouTube/Beauty Blogger Community. Being a dry skin girl (kinda), I was a little leery about trying them out. Also, most of the people I saw raving about them were lighter complected, so I wasn’t sure how nice these powders would be on dark skin. So when I saw that the new limited edition Ambient Lighting Palette came out, I decided to give it a go, since it would allow me to try out multiple powders at once. Continue reading for my thoughts on this product! If you would just like to see how I apply these, scroll down to the middle of the post for my video!
