Brows are so essential to the face so I’m always on the hunt for the perfect brow product. Recently I had a little mishap with my brows which led me on the search for something more substantial to fill them in. That’s why I decided to try the new Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate. Keep reading for my full review and demo!
Anastasia Beverly Hills is a brand known for their brows! I had never tried any of their products, but when promo pictures for the DipBrow Pomade started showing up, I was intrigued. This product is designed to be smudge-proof and waterproof for precise brows. It is available in 5 colors and I purchased the shade Chocolate.
I really like this product so far. I have been using it everyday since I purchased it (about 2 weeks). I think the shade that I chose is perfect as it is not too dark, but not too light. It also is slightly warmer than the Dark Brown shade, but it doesn’t pull too red.
The mousse like texture of this product allows it to be easily built up or used lightly. I typically dip my angled brush in twice (very lightly) which gives me enough product for one brow. I think that this is a versatile brow product because I use it daily for a more natural look, but it can also give a more intense look for night time. Unlike other cream/gel eyeliners that I have tried to use for my brows, this product seems to help my hair lay a little better and it seems to stick to my skin better. It lasts all day long on me and does not get shiny at the end of the day (like some brow products tend too).
The only negative thing that I really have to say about this product is that it is currently not in stores (only online to my knowledge) so it was hard for me to choose the correct shade.
- a little goes a long way
- long-lasting (waterproof & smudge-proof)
- good color match for my brows
- helps to tame my brow hairs
- can be used for natural or intense brows
- easily blendable
- not yet available in stores, only online
- may be a little expensive at $18, but to me it is worth it
Overall Grade: A+
