Nars recently came out with a new collection that included 2 brand new blushes. Of course you know I had to scoop them up! What type of self respecting blushaholic would I be if I didn’t? Keep reading for my thoughts and swatches!
Coeur Battant is a bright, shocking magenta! This shade is very heavily pigmented so it needs to be used with caution. I think this shade will work for any skin tone, but will be especially beautiful on skin darker than mine.
As you can see, I have nothing even remotely close to Coeur Battant in my blush collection! It is definitely a one of a kind shade.
At first glance, Daydream looks like it is too light for me. But to my surprise, when I put this on my cheeks, I fell in love! I actually have worn Day Dream much more than Coeur Battant so far! Day Dream is a pale peachy-pink with a satin finish. I’ve tried blushes that looked similar to this before and they ended up looking chalky on me (I’m looking at you MAC), but something about Nars’ formulas make their blush shades virtually universal.
As you can see above, I don’t have a dupe for Day Dream in my collection either. The closest that I have is Tarte Peaceful, but it is a little more pink and shimmery than Day Dream.
I think Nars did an awesome job with these two limited edition blush shades for the holidays! I love both, but I will probably get more wear out of Day Dream. However, Coeur Battant is definitely the more unique of the two.
Do you plan on picking up anything from Nars’ Holiday Collection? What’s on your wish list?
