Tarte Off the Cuff Blush Palette Review

DSC01296-impToday’s post is featuring another holiday gift set, the Tarte Off the Cuff Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush Palette. I really wish these companies would stick to a 3 word maximum on the names of their products! Anyway, this palette features 4 almost full size blushes and 1 bronzer (a normal blush size is 0.2 oz, the blushes and bronzer in this palette are 0.158 oz). This set also comes with a cuff bracelet. Keep reading for my thoughts and swatches!

I’ve had this palette for over a week now because I really wanted to wear it before giving my seal of approval. I don’t really own any Tarte blushes, so I wasn’t sure how brown girl friendly they were. Thankfully, all the blush colors in this palette show up and look good on my skin tone. The bronzer is almost the same color as my skin, so I’ve been using that as a transition eyeshadow color. I may be able to use it as a light bronzer during the winter when I lighten up. Out of all the shades in this palette, my favorite is Dazzled followed by Crave, but I like every single one of these blushes.

From the swatches, it looks like Darling and Dollface may show up ashy on my skintone, however, when I put these on my cheeks, they come to life! All of the shades are brown-girl friendly. They are not too powdery and definitely not chalky. I’m not sure if they live up to the 12 hour wear claim, but they do last at least 8+ hours on my cheeks.

Overall, I think this palette is a really great buy as a gift or as a gift to yourself! It retails for $42 (regular price of 1 full size blush is $26) and is a Sephora exclusive. It’s also a good chance to try some Tarte blushes if you never have!

Final Grade: A+

Do you own any Tarte blushes? What’s your favorite shade?

I love Tarte blushes, they are quite brown girl friendly. I’m nw43 in Mac, Warm Tan in Bare Minerals and I have Flush, Tipsy, Blissful, Natural Beauty, and Charisma. My favs are Blissful and Flush though.
