Nars recently came out with a new collection that included 2 brand new blushes. Of course you know I had to scoop them up! What type of self respecting blushaholic would I be if I didn’t? Keep reading for my thoughts and swatches!
Essie’s Butler Please is a beautiful shade of royal blue! Unfortunately, it is not the easiest to work with. The first coat went on very streaky and uneven. Also, when I tried to even it out it kind of bunched up! Fortunately the second coat helped to smooth things out a bit. I’ve never experienced this with Essie polishes, so I’m not sure if I got a bad one or this shade is just like that. Nevertheless, I love the way it looks on my fingertips!
Do you have a go-to blue nail polish?
As some of you may know, a few months ago I was not very happy with my skin due to a constant breakout that would not go away. After seeing a dermatologist, I have finally gotten back to a place where I am mostly happy with my skin. By no means do I think I have perfect skin, but I do overall like the way I look without makeup on. In today’s video I wanted to share with you the products that I use on a daily basis.
What is the skin care product that you cannot live without?
Nars recently released a new cream foundation, the Radiant Cream Compact Foundation. After trying this foundation for awhile I wanted to share a comparison of it and the Nars Sheer Glow foundation which I already owned. The Radiant Cream Compact is said to be a creamy version of Sheer Glow, but I’m not so sure about that. Keep reading for my thoughts and comparisons.
Today’s post is featuring another holiday gift set, the Tarte Off the Cuff Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush Palette. I really wish these companies would stick to a 3 word maximum on the names of their products! Anyway, this palette features 4 almost full size blushes and 1 bronzer (a normal blush size is 0.2 oz, the blushes and bronzer in this palette are 0.158 oz). This set also comes with a cuff bracelet. Today’s post is not at all beauty related, but something I wanted to share nonetheless. I got my husband to agree to doing a tag video with me on my non-beauty YouTube channel that I thought would be really fun. I know that I said I wouldn’t share these videos on my blog, but I couldn’t resist with this one! Make sure you subscribe to that channel to keep seeing these random videos from me! I also have a handbag review coming up on that channel in the very near future!
As some of you may know, Mac Face & Body Foundation is one of my favorite foundations (see HERE) for natural looking glow-y skin. I’ve heard that Make Up Forever’s version is similar, but better so I wanted to try it out. Watch my video below to see my initial thoughts on this foundation (in shade 12, caramel).
Have you tried either Make Up Forever or MAC Face & Body? Which one do you prefer?
Loreal recently released 2 new types of lipstick, the LaLaque and the LeMatte. These new lip products are thinner than the average jumbo lip pencil and are pretty much the size of a crayon. The LaLaque range is a shiny, pigmented lip color. While the LeMatte range is a matte version. They released a total of 8 shades (4 of each), and I purchased 6 of them.
