Today’s post has nothing to do with beauty, however it was a requested video, so I hope you enjoy. In this video I show you the bulk of my handbag collection. Please let me know if you would like more details on a specific item mentioned.
A few weeks ago, I did a video on my first impressions of the new Iman Skin Tone Evener BB Creme. (Click HERE if you missed that post). In that video, I shared what I thought of the product while wearing it throughout the day. Now that I’ve been using it a few weeks, I wanted to update you on what I think of it. Keep reading if you’re interested!
The other day I posted a video on YouTube giving my first impression of the new Covergirl Queen All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation. I used the shade Q820 Toffee. Take a look at the video below if you’re interested.
- wide range of shades
- easily accessible
- convenient, hygenic packaging
- medium coverage
- does not make skin oily
- long lasting
- accentuated my dry spots (probably won’t be an issue for oilier skin)
- gave me a flat, matte look (again, this shouldn’t be an issue for my oily ladies)
Overall, this foundation is nice, but I don’t think it is the best fit for me. I do think it would work well for oily skin. I may put this one away until summer when my skin is more oily to see if I like it more.
Have you tried this foundation? How did it work out for you?
A few posts back, I posted some swatches of some new MAC purchases. One of those purchases was the new Viva Glam Nicki 2 lipstick. (Click HERE to see that post). This shade is probably one of the hardest to wear shades I own. Because I knew it would be a popular item, I decided to try it even though it is not the type of shade I typically go for. It is a very pale lavender that leans closer to white than purple. For all of the MAC Viva Glam products, 100% of the proceeds go to MAC’s AIDS foundation so I felt like it was worthy of my money. Keep reading to see a few ways to make this shade more wearable.
I don’t understand why companies have to come up with these super long names to their products. This name was so long that I couldn’t even put the whole name in the title of my post. The full name is Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask Orange + Bergamot. But enough of my ranting, this product is supposed to be a deep cleansing mask made to provide a clearer, brighter complexion. If you’re interested in knowing my thoughts, keep reading.
I like seeing holiday themed makeup looks, so I decided to create one. This look easy and perfect for Valentine’s Day night or for any date night. Personally, my husband doesn’t like super flashy makeup, so I wanted to do a look that was more “natural.” Keep reading for more pictures and a step by step video!
Finally, a BB Creme specifically designed to match tones for women of color! Iman Skin Tone Evener BB Creme intrigued me because of the color selection and a few reviews that I had seen. Take a look if you’re interested in hearing my initial thoughts on this product!
*I used the shade Clay Medium*
Other Makeup I’m Wearing:
Maybelline Collosal Cat Eyes Mascara
Milani EasyBrow in Dark Brown
Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Deep
MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Dark (only to set undereye concealer)
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Peaceful
Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Leslie
Have you tried the new Iman BB Creme? What do you think?
Today’s post is just a really quick post to show you the new items I just received in the mail just in case you are interested in getting some. I ordered 2 lipsticks and 1 blush from the Archie’s Girls collection and I ordered the new Viva Glam Nicki 2 lipstick. The Archie’s Girls collection will be in stores on February 7, 2013. I’m supposed to be on a no-buy (LOL), but I knew that I had to order a little something because I used to LOVE Archie comic books back in the day. Keep reading for pictures and swatches!
