Review: NARS Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

I finally found my perfect red lip! Red lipstick has always been very intimidating for me. Lately though, probably due to all the holiday makeup looks that I have seen, I really wanted to try a red lipstick. I looked all over the internet for swatches and pictures to try to get an idea of one that would suit me. Finally, I came across a video that mentioned NARS Dragon Girl and they described it as being very similar to MAC Ruby Woo, but not as drying. That intrigued me because Ruby Woo seems to be loved by women of all ages and skin colors. Unfortunately, I was not able to find many swatches for Dragon Girl on women of my color. That is one of the main reasons I wanted to share my views and provide some pictures for you!

Nail of the Day: Nicole by OPI Smile for the Glam-era

Today’s nail of the day is Smile for the Glam-era by Nicole by OPI. It is apart of the Kardashian collection. This shade is very unique. It is a blackened purple base with magenta and silver micro glitter. At first glance, it looks almost black, but in the sun the shimmer is really apparent.  This applied pretty opaquely, the picture shown is of 2 coats. Unlike a lot of other dark nail polishes that I have tried, this went on very easily and smoothly. It wasn’t streaky at all. I think this shade is a winner, and definitely a nice pick for this time of year.

What do you think of Smile for the Glam-era?

Swatches: Sephora Cream Lip Stains

If you have been following this blog for awhile, you might know that I love the Sephora Cream Lip stains. They are bold, long-lasting, and comfortable to wear. Today’s post will simply be showing you the shades that I own. I decided to do this because I have a really hard time when I try to look up these stains online and I never really hear anyone talk about them. Tip Tuesday Update

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you may have noticed that I missed last week’s Tip Tuesday. I decided that I will no longer be doing Tip Tuesday every Tuesday, only some Tuesdays. I came to this decision because some of my Tip Tuesday posts were really starting to feel like work when I didn’t have a topic readily available to talk about. I write this blog because I enjoy it, therefore, it should never feel like work. Don’t fret though, Tip Tuesday is definitely not going away!

Thanks for your continuing support!

Sparkly Holiday Makeup

This is the time of year when you can get away with being “overdone.” By that I mean that you can go all out with makeup, hair, accessories, and clothing. One way to add that extra flair for the holidays is by going sparkly. Glitter and sequins are major this time of the year. I went to a Christmas party last weekend and decided to partake in the glittery madness going on. Keep scrolling for pictures and a video showing how I got this look!
