It’s time for my monthly favorite beauty products! Last year I was giving you a little blurb about each product mentioned in the video here on the blog so that you don’t have to watch the video if you don’t want, but lately I had gotten away from that. This month, I’ll try doing it that way again. As always, if you want more information or want to see swatches, make sure you watch the video. Let me know which way you prefer!
One of the items that I was most excited about picking up during the most recent Sephora VIB Sale (click here to see that haul) was the new Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette. Swatches for this palette are starting to pop up online, but I haven’t seen many on my skin tone yet, so I wanted to share those with you. I can’t give a review on these yet since I haven’t used them, but the swatches seem pretty promising. By the way, if you’re wondering why I haven’t used this palette yet it is because I recently gave birth to my first child! Since then, I haven’t really worn any makeup, but I swatched this prior to giving birth so I didn’t want the swatches to be in vain.
Right now, Sephora has their Spring Sale going on so I figured that this would be a great time to share some items that I’ve recently picked up with you all. There are a few things from the Sephora sale, but also some stuff that I have had for awhile! This is a really long one, but if you have time, check out the beauty products that I picked up!
Have you gotten anything during the Sephora Sale?
I’m finally back with another beauty post! If you have followed my blog for awhile, I’m sure you know that foundation is one of my favorite makeup items to test out. The Dior Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation* was recently released and it caught my eye so I decided to try it out for you. So far, the only Dior foundation that I’ve tried is the Dior Diorskin Nude Foundation, and that is one of my very favorite foundations so I figured that this one would probably work well for me too. I picked up this foundation in the same shade, 050 Dark Beige. Keep reading if you would like to see what I thought as a first impression on this foundation!
Delivery Day is almost here! I’m currently about 37.5 weeks pregnant, so approximately 2.5 weeks to go! The time has really flown by! I’ve been so busy getting ready for baby that I haven’t spent much time on the blog, but maybe during my maternity leave, I’ll finally get some free time. Maybe not! :) Anyway, the nursery for our baby boy is finally pretty much complete and I wanted to share it with you all! Keep scrolling down for pictures of some of my favorite things in the nursery. Plus, check out the video below for a tour.
NARS recently released a new foundation, the All Day Luminous Weightless foundation. I decided to try it in the shade Cadiz, which is also my shade in the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. With this foundation, NARS promises full & natural looking coverage that lasts up to 16 hours. Not only that, but they also claim that the foundation will do this with only 1 drop and still have a lightweight feel on the skin. I’ve been testing this foundation out for about 2 weeks and I am ready to share my thoughts with you so if you’re interested, keep reading.
I don’t know what it is, but every time I plan to do blog posts, something happens. This time, I have a few beauty blog posts/videos that I really want to get done, but I unfortunately I came down with a cold. With the way I felt, I didn’t want to get out of the bed or off the couch for the last week, let alone do a video! Today, I feel much better even though I still have some coughing going on. Instead of doing the beauty posts that I had planned, I decided to share with you my latest Louis Vuitton purchases. The video below shows the unboxing and gives information on the products that I purchased, but also gives you a chance to see my baby bump. If you just want to see a couple of pictures, keep scrolling down past the video!
Sephora recently released a new foundation, the Teint Infusion Foundation. As soon as I saw it, I knew that it was supposed to be similar to the recent liquid to powder foundations that a few high end brands have been releasing lately (i.e. YSL Fusion Ink, Lancome Nude Miracle, etc.). The one that I have tried and liked as been the Lancome Nude Miracle Foundation so I wanted to see how this new Sephora foundation measured up. If you’re interested in hearing my thoughts, watch the video below!
Have you tried any of the new liquid to powder, barely-there foundations? If so, what is your favorite?
